Believe it or not, winter is a wonderful time to view property in Eureka Springs. With the leaves gone from the trees one can see for miles and miles. Even better, there are no bugs to contend with. I am always in awe of the beauty of our Ozark hills but winter allows me to see the hidden beauty. Just this Thursday at an open house I was admiring the valley behind the house which was full of gorgeous rock formations rarely seen in the cover of spring.
Winter brings another natural wonder......Eagles! From our perch on Table Rock Lake my family and I enjoy watching the eagles soar, dip, and glide over the glassy lake. As my mother and I were traveling to Fayetteville last week we spotted a bald eagle flying over a beautiful rolling valley just south of Eureka Springs. She commented that it was the exact location of the first eagle she had ever seen. Growing up in suburban Austin, TX didn't allow for much eagle watching.
Winter in Eureka is a cozy place to be. Discounted room rates, the smell of wood burning fireplaces, and smaller crouds makes for an excellent getaway.
